Creating Customers

In NorthBoundary, Customers are the customers/accounts or work/site locations associated with accounts you send proposals to and service.

This article will cover creating Customers in NorthBoundary.

Parent Customers and Site/Work Locations

NorthBoundary has a two-tier system for their customers.

  • Parent Customers include any current or prospective customers who are parents of subsidiary site locations. If the Parent Customer is also the Site Location, this will have a one-to-one relationship.
  • Site Locations are where you plan to perform work for your customers. They exist under Parent Customers.

Creating Customers

  1. On the Navigation Bar, click Customer Mgmt.
  2. On the top right, click the New button. This will open the Add Customer/ Site Location Menu.
  3. Enter a Customer Name. All other information is optional.
  4. Customer Owner allows you to select the NorthBoudary user you want to associate with the account.
  5. Organization allows you to select which of your Organizations to associate with the account.
  6. Check the box next to Is Work Location if the customer is a work/site location. Then select the Parent Customer from the drop-down list.
  7. You can also add a contact under Contact Information.
  8. When done click Save.

Editing Customers

  1. On the Navigation Bar, click Customer Mgmt.
  2. Use the Search Bar at the top of the page to find the customer you want to edit.

  3. Click the Customer Name to navigate to the customer's page.
  4. Click the Customer Details tab.

  5. Make changes to the menu below.
  6. When done, click Save.
