System Settings - Job Planner

Important Note: NorthBoundary is now SalesManager. SalesManager retains all of the customer relationship management and proposal automation benefits of its predecessor, allowing you to create proposals, manage your sales funnel, win and retain top customers. This article will walk you through setting up your Job Planner settings in SalesManager, formerly known as NorthBoundary. You must be a Admin to make these changes.

To access your Job Planner settings:

  1. Click the wheel icon on the top right of the page.
    • This will open a System Settings page, allowing you to access all sub-menus.
  2. Click to expand the Job Planner button on the Nav Bar. You will see the following menu options below.

  3. Click on any of the following menu options and follow the instructions below.

Task Stage

This menu allows you to manage and create Task Stages for your Job Plan. By default, your account should come with five stages.

Creating a Task Stage

  1. Enter a Stage Name.
  2. Enter a Description of the new stage.
  3. Check to select the color box you want for the new stage.
  4. Click the Save button.

  5. On the stage list below, click to select your new stage. It should be highlighted.
  6. Use the up and down arrows to move the order of the stage name.
  7. Click the Save Order to save.

Editing or Deleting a Task Stage

  1. On the Task Stage menu below, click to select the task stage you want to edit or delete. It should be highlighted.
    • To Delete:
      1. Click the Delete button.
      2. Click OK.
    • To Edit:
      1. Enter a new Stage Name.
      2. Enter a new Description.
      3. Check to select the new color box you want for the stage.
      4. Click the Save button.
      5. Use the up and down arrows to move the order of the stage name.
      6. Click the Save Order to save.

Project Types

This menu allows you to manage and create Project Types for your Job Plan. By default, your account should come with two project types.

Creating a Project Type

Important Note: Project Types CANNOT be deleted, only edited.

  1. Enter a Project Type Name.
  2. Check to select the color box you want for the new type.
  3. Click the Save button.

Editing a Project Type

  1. On the Project Type menu below, click to select the project type you want to edit.
  2. Enter a new Project Type Name.
  3. Check to select the new color box you want for the Project Type.
  4. Click the Save button.

Working Days

This menu allows you to manage which work days you can assign tasks to on the Gantt View of the Job Plan Projects.

  1. Check to select which days you want to be available.
  2. Click the Save button.
