The video walkthrough will explain the difference between and the purpose of Customers, Contacts, and Leads in SalesManager, formerly known as NorthBoundary.

  • Customers are the accounts you are sending proposals to and actively working for.
  • Contacts belong to customers. They are the individual contacts for your customers and site locations. You can have multiple contacts for each customer.
  • Leads are people you'd like to do business with, but typically you are not doing business with them yet. Because you'll work a lead, once you reach a point where you will send them a proposal or engage with them. You would convert them from a lead to a customer.
