Generating and Saving an API Token

This article will walk you through generating and saving API tokens in SalesManager, formerly known as NorthBoundary. API tokens can be used to authenticate an existing user account when making API requests in external tools like Power BI and Postman. To use the API key, you need to use the 'API Key' type authorization with the key 'api-key', value being the bearer token generated in SalesManager. that the API token should be used as the bearer-token in any request.

1. Click on your profile name at the top right of the page.
2. Click on the Profile button.
3. Click on API Token.
4. Click on Generate Token.
5. If a token already exists, click on OK to override the previous token.
6. Click on the Copy icon to copy the text.
7. Click Save.
8. Click Close.
